About me
Martin Pineyrua is an Argentine-American fashion photographer based in Southern California. His passion for photography began at the age of eight when he borrowed his father's Pentax K1000 to photograph the family's Fiat 1600 before it was sold. That moment sparked a lifelong fascination with preserving stories through images.
Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Martin developed his photographic vision documenting local communities and cultural events. Working through both the analog and digital eras, he cultivated a strong appreciation for craftsmanship, storytelling, and the decisive moment.
Inspired by renowned fashion photographers such as Patrick Demarchelier, Mario Testino, Peter Lindbergh, and Helmut Newton, Martin found his creative voice in fashion photography. His work spans editorial, runway, backstage, and portrait photography, with a focus on capturing authenticity, movement, and the unique character of each subject.
In 2017, Martin relocated to Los Angeles, California, where he immersed himself in the photographic community and earned the prestigious Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) designation through the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). This achievement reflects his commitment to technical excellence, professional standards, and continuous growth.
Martin's work has been featured by Photo Vogue, recognizing his ability to create compelling imagery that resonates beyond the runway. Today, he continues to photograph fashion events, designers, models, and editorial projects while building a body of work that bridges artistry, storytelling, and contemporary fashion culture.
